Overseas Business Planning Support Seminars

MLIT, in cooperation with JASMOC, organizes seminars providing useful hints about business strategy and planning to companies looking to expand overseas, addressing concerns businesses have about expansion overseas, and giving overviews of the construction market in Southeast Asia. Companies can obtain basic information necessary in the early planning phases of business expansion through these seminars.

Overseas Business Planning Support:One-on-one Support

Support is offered to companies throughout the process of preparation for overseas expansion—from strategic planning to finalizing a business plan—through individual meetings (online) with Registered Management Consultants. Worksheets have been prepared for use by companies in all stages of planning business expansion, from early in the research stage to the concrete planning stage.

Overseas Business Expansion Seminars in prefecture

In collaboration with local governments, government agencies, regional banks, and other organizations, MLIT, in cooperation with JASMOC, organizes seminars that offer insight to companies at various stages of overseas expansion, including those that have already expanded overseas, through introductions to types of support offered by various agencies for overseas expansion and lectures from local companies who have expanded overseas or have hired foreign human resources.
Since 2021, seminars have been held in the prefectures of Niigata, Aichi, Toyama, Hiroshima, Kochi, Miyazaki, and Okinawa.

Overseas Business Delegation

Overseas Business Delegation comprises of members from Japanese small and medium-sized construction companies and is dispatched to target countries to visit the local government organizations, local subsidiaries of Japanese companies, and/or Japanese Chambers of Commerce and Industry. They also conduct site visits, engage in public relations activities for companies and technologies, and organize Business Matching events and job fairs with cooperation from local universities to secure foreign human resources.
Countries the Overseas Delegation has visited include: Viet Nam, Myanmar, Thailand, Indonesia, and the Philippines.
In FY 2024, the delegation will be dispatched to Jakarta, Indonesia and Ho Chi Minh City, Viet Nam.

Technology Introduction Seminars in Collaboration with Universities Overseas

MLIT, in cooperation with JASMOC, organizes online seminars that create opportunities for Japanese small and medium-sized construction companies and researchers and other individuals affiliated with foreign universities to network, with the aim of facilitating collaboration with engineering universities and local companies in Asia.
As participants from numerous countries and universities attend these seminars, it is a good opportunity to companies to become more widely known while also considering the countries and fields for utilizing their technologies.

Construction Technology Webinar

Collection of Construction Technologies

The “Collection of Construction Technologies” introduces the strengths of Japanese small and medium-sized construction companies through specific examples of their technologies and is available in both Japanese and English for the purpose of creating business opportunities worldwide. The profiles of 63 construction companies (JASMOC member companies) featured in this collection include a business overview, achievements, work system, and technologies that could be utilized overseas.
